The Town of Canmore proudly supports the Canada Day Celebrations by organizing the parade every year.

Parade Route

The parade begins at the corner of Fairholme Drive and 15th Street. It turns left onto Main Street and finishes at the corner of Main Street (8th Street) and Railway Ave.

The Parade disbands and returns via Railway Ave, 10th St and 7th Ave to the original staging area at the Canmore Recreation Centre while the marching bands make their way to Centennial Park to participate in the infield show.

8 a.m. to 12 noon – Centennial Park 

Rotary Pancake Breakfast

Canmore Nordic Ski Club’s Canada Day fun run

9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Mountain Made Canada Day Market – Civic Centre Plaza
A craft and artisan market with locally made crafts, art, food & fun.

12 noon CANADA DAY PARADE

The Parade begins at the corner of Fairholme Drive and 15th Street. Continuing down Fairholme Drive, the parade turns onto Main Street and finishes at the corner of Railway Ave and Main St. Bring your chair or stand and enjoy watching the celebration.
1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Centennial Park Festivities

Featuring the marching bands infield show, music on the Stan Rogers Stage, community booths and a huge family area with activities and fun for all.
7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Civic Centre Center Stage

Live music at the Civic Centre Plaza. Join in on the fun.

10.30 p.m. Canada Day Fireworks

Finish the day off with a bang with the fireworks at Millennium Park. Only a short walk from Centennial Park!

* Millennium Park is located on 1st Street and 5th Avenue in south Canmore.
